Do you want to help support the advancement in human health? Do you want to be part of a fast-paced team that works hard and has fun? The Equipment Management Technician II Responsible for the operation, calibration, maintenance and repair processes of equipment and automated systems. Monitors and schedules the calibrations and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with SOP and maintenance requirements.



Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the calibration and maintenance cycles for all equipment and ensures completion according to predetermined schedules

  • Perform applicable routine calibrations, qualifications, maintenance and repair

  • Coordinates with internal departments and outside service vendors on completion of maintenance, calibration and repair activities in a timely manner

  • Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and complete minor repairs, as necessary

  • Performs incoming inspections on new and existing equipment and assists with installation as needed

  • Assists with the execution of equipment qualification activities

  • Advise internal departments on applicable compliance requirements during procurement of regulated equipment

  • Assist with responses to internal and external audits

  • Contribute to the development, review and revision of equipment quality management systems (e.g., electronic data capture systems, department policies/SOPs/work instructions)

  • Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of equipment

  • Reviews study/facility data for completeness

  • Assists Equipment Management Supervisor to determine requirements and instructions for equipment


Qualifications:

  • Associates or technical degree specializing in a scientific discipline desired. Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements

  • 2 plus years’ experience performing basic calibrations and verifications on equipment required, preferably in a regulated environment

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and project management tools

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • Math skills required include, but are not limited to: the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Continual GLP Training is required

  • Able to lift 50 lbs between ground and shoulder level

  • Handles and disposes biological and/or chemical substances and wastes in accordance with applicable policies and procedures

  • Wears appropriate PPE in accordance with policies and procedures. PPE may include, but is not limited to: N-95 respirator, face mask, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, gloves, lab coat, scrubs, shoe covers, hair bouffant, hearing protection, and hard hat

  • Ability to work holiday, weekend, and evening hours as needed
