What You'll Be Doing

  • We’re launching an app! We’re looking for a Senior designer to lead the development of an app for IOS and Android. 

  • Lead a small design team in implementing new features and programs for the web app

  • Create and show solutions – develop and deliver high level and detailed storyboards, user flows, concept diagrams, user interface sketches, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.

  • Contribute to and improve on design processes

  • Communicate clearly – Present your work to Product Team, UI Developers, and Stakeholders explaining your rationale and vision

  • Follow and validate standards – Prepare and maintain UI style guides, visual strategies, page layouts, processes, icons, and colour palettes using component library files

  • Analyze and Improve – Gain insights, iterate and improve the experience 

  • Present design solutions that solve user interface problems and communicate how the success will be measured against anticipated outcomes

  • Utilize data from end-user feedback, google analytics, business requirements, technical considerations and context experts to deliver a user experience that surpasses expectations

  • Work closely with software engineers to ensure your designs are implemented and functionally complete to a high standard of polish and assist with usability testing

  • Work cross-functionally with our development, marketing and customer service teams to create novel design solutions 

  • Interpreting insights from end-user feedback and designing with the business in mind while still being innovative and delightful

  • You will be responsible for the Project Management and completion of paperwork including, status reports, timesheets, and required documentation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years minimum experience working in a digital agency or as part of an in-house team

  • Solid understanding of iOS and Android app store guidelines

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of your full range of UX/UI skills, from ideation to bringing the designs to life with the engineers (via a portfolio or live apps) 

  • Experience creating low/mid/high fidelity interactive prototypes for mobile applications

  • Highly skilled in Figma. Or equivalent experience in tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD or other design software applications. 

  • An understanding of web technologies like HTML/CSS/JS/ReactJS (you don’t have to code but you’ll work closely with our developers)

  • Experience designing and using A/B testing tools to inform design decisions

  • Proven communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space with verbal, written, and presentation skills to a variety of audiences and stakeholders

  • Experience working within an Agile environment or cross-functional team structure

  • Experience user testing, usability testing, and working with user acceptance criteria and excellent proofreading skills

  • Ability to see a project through from inception to release and managing task distribution for design team
