IT Support
Welcome to Saskatchewan will be a settlement mobile app designed to help immigrants and refugees to achieve a smooth and successful transition into their life in Canada. The mobile app will help newcomers to be able to access information on immigrating to Canada in a centralized fashion.
ISC is seeking to contract an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to the design, content and development teams . The role will be responsible for the configuration, management and maintenance of applications and systems on desktop, mobile and web hosting platforms. The role is expected to work 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday; however, there will be times when early morning or evening work is required to meet deadlines. The position’s contract will be 3 months to begin, with the possibility of extension.
Duties:

Provide technical support for the team including desktop operating system, network connectivity, cloud and desktop applications, Office 365, CMS and Azure platforms

Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and other devices

Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and network and respond immediately to security or usability concerns

Working with the IT support team, ensures availability of services and systems

Provide prompt, reliable and friendly service and support to team

Provides training on systems and applications

Prepares reference for users by writing and maintain instructions

Maintains technical documentation by documenting hardware and software changes and revisions
Technical support for the application development team including desktop, application, Office 365 and Azure cloud data, compute, web and authentication hosting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience in using technical support tools including helpdesk management systems (eg: Zendesk, InTune)

Experience using RMM and remote support tools on desktop and server platforms

Experience in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of Windows desktop operating systems

Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server systems
-
Experience of managing and maintaining Active Directory

Experience in Azure platform – storage, compute, sizing, and management

Experience in scripting or programming languages as asset

Experience in

Experience in working with learning management systems such Moodle an asset

Experience with Salesforce an asset

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and with a geographically dispersed team.

Available to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience

2 – 4 years’ experience is systems administration and support
