Job Description
Welcome to Saskatchewan will be a settlement mobile app designed to help immigrants and refugees to achieve a smooth and successful transition into their life in Canada. The mobile app will help newcomers to be able to access information on immigrating to Canada in a centralized fashion.
ISC is seeking to contract a Language and Interpretation Co-op Student to research, test, implement, and evaluate app development, digital channels, as well as problem-solve and ensure a newcomer-centric web design. Also, to identify smaller pilot innovations and technology "pain points” and make use of cases to grow innovation.
The role is expected to work 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday; however, there will be times when early morning or evening work is required to meet deadlines. High stress factors include tight deadlines as turnaround on deliverables can range from an hour to several weeks. The position’s contract will be 3 months to begin, with the possibility of extension.
Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is to: Work on researching, testing, implementing, and evaluating app development, digital channels, problem-solving and newcomer-centric web design. Find smaller pilot innovations identify technology "pain points" and make use of cases to grow innovation.
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Willing to work remotely and have stable internet connection
• Available to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods
