MOBIA is currently recruiting a Systems Engineer to join us in Atlantic Canada!  

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and document network designs based on customer requirements and manufacturer equipment specifications
• Implement planned designs for network changes onsite at customer locations in keeping with any environmental policies and best practices
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for customer network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery
• Work with the Practice Lead to establish service level agreements with end users
• Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors throughout project planning, implementation and support phases to ensure that project tasks are being completed in line with customer expectations
• Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
• Work with customers, internal resources, and Project Managers to provide up to date status reporting on your projects

Skills / Qualifications:

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Previous experience working in Agile or SCRUM
• Solid understanding of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience with Containers/Kubernetes, Cloud Architecture and NFVi would be considered an asset
• Strong understanding of GKE, Openshift, robin.io and CI/CD
• Proficiency with networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
• Strong critical thinking / analytical skills
• High aptitude for troubleshooting and working under pressure
• Highly effective project coordination skills
• Intermediate experience with VMware and Netapp
• Experience with Network Administration
• Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to non-technical audiences
• Solid written and verbal communication
• Strong analytical skills balanced with effective communication and excellent customer service skills
