The Senior Copywriter at Skip’s in-house Creative Studio is responsible for developing strong conceptual ideas and writing for various Skip marketing campaigns and projects, ranging from digital/social content to in-app communication pieces to restaurant partnership promotions to B2B materials. This includes scripts, headlines, subheads, body copy, and long format which reflect the Skip brand. With their breadth of experience, the Senior Copywriter always gets the work done. Most importantly, this means conceiving and writing strong ideas that strategically align to project briefs. For this particular role it also means writing for long format materials, such as B2B.

The Senior Copywriter welcomes working closely with designers to bring ideas to life. They are comfortable presenting to others, including various company stakeholders; they are also cognizant of those stakeholders’ respective interests within the company, including goals and target KPIs. They take feedback well and work diligently to incorporate it. They take initiative and do not need to be reminded of process and deadlines.

With positivity and a passion for creativity, the Senior Copywriter sets a great example for the rest of the Copy Team, spreading the joy of the copywriting craft. They understand the importance of mentoring less experienced writers and willingly lead by example. Last, but not least, the Senior Copywriter understands, and more importantly, believes in creative fellowship, where ideas are owned by the team, not by any one individual, and where creativity flourishes in the open, not in a vacuum.

What’s On Your Plate

  • Conceive strong conceptual ideas which strategically align to project briefs, through articulate thinking and writing

  • Write for all mediums, from content scripts, to OOH, to digital banners, to email, to B2B long format.

  • Work closely with the Design Team to bring ideas to life, while setting an example for the rest of the Studio

  • Present to various company stakeholders and understand their respective interests

  • Understand all verticals of the Skip business, from product to restaurant partnerships, campaign, courier, digital etc.

  • Take initiative on all projects without being reminded of meetings and deadlines

  • Assist in mentoring junior writers

Recipe For Success

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • 6 to 10 years experience in-house and/or advertising agency

  • Educational background in advertising, marketing, and/or copywriting

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and writing

  • B2B Experience
