SCOPE OF THE POSITION
 
The Project Management Coordinator will be responsible for driving goals and timelines on various program initiatives specifically within the Product Development Department. They will be collaborating with various internal stakeholders to ensure progress on projects are planned, documented, communicated and executed. The successful candidate will report to the Stage Gate Manager to support various projects.
 
THE MANDATE
 
•    Assist the Stage Gate Manager in directing the planning, implementation, execution and closure of Product Development projects including strategic material sourcing, innovation and new customer products.
•    Create and maintain documentation including Project Charter, Project Plan, Issue and Action Log, Risk Management Plan and Status reports to the sponsor, project team and senior management, as required.
•    Effectively manage a high volume of projects simultaneously from inception to go live.
•    Calculate, monitor and update senior management on key performance criteria and metrics.
•    Identify project risks and assist in the development, implementation mitigation contingency plans to keep the project on track.
•    Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget and complies with regulatory requirements.
•    Flag risks in executing timelines, seek updates from stakeholders on projects, coordinate meetings and take meeting minutes.

THE CANDIDATE
 
•    Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in Project Coordinator role.
•    Proven experience working with the agile and lean project management methodologies.
•    Completion of an undergraduate degree in Science or Food Science or related discipline considered an asset.
•    Completion of the PMP designation is also considered a strong asset
•    Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal, stakeholders
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
